Allow me to Introduce Myself
I'm tired of being vague about my work. Allow me to reintroduce myself.
My name is Otto.
I've spent a decade apprenticing with Jungian analysts, I've laid on the jungle floor for weeks in psychosis. I've held the hand of another as they faced the proposition of eternity, and opened my heart to the Gaian mind. I've read scripture, and sat in the silence of the Himalayas. I've studied somatic therapy and modern conceptions of healing — and at one point or another, I've rejected it all.
I don't believe in pathology. I don't believe in the assumptions buried inside the modern mental health model. Therapy, as it is commonly practiced, is an inadequate answer to the longing and suffering of the modern soul.
I now live in Tepoztlán, Mexico — "The land of eternal spring" offering a unique style of Integrative psychedelic therapy and leading retreats serving the world's most powerful psychedelic molecule: 5-MeO-DMT.
The psychedelic renaissance, too, bears the mark of our era’s neurosis — the blood of the soul we are trying to clean.
I am here to reinstate the missing spirit.
I believe in the soul. I believe in the psyche, in dreams, animism, the power of the imaginal, the mysterious and unpredictable ways in which horrifying and awe-inspiring experiences of fate shape our lives. I believe in the individual spirit. I believe in the ability of human beings to rise into transcendent relationship with their soul.
Modernity has stripped us of something essential to our wellbeing. And to that end, Nietzsche wrote:
"God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent?"
We stand in the aftermath. My work is an answer to that absence.
My studies have brought me into a three-year experimental master's program, focused on liminality, psychosis, indigenous wisdom, and psychedelic medicine — learning through direct encounters with the ritual transmissions of Indigenous wisdom keepers like the Bwiti and the Cofán, among others. Carriers of eternal truths. Bearers of a dying art and perception.
I founded Soul & Psyche, an expression of my ethos. I work with Tandava Retreats, the gold standard of our industry. I teach medical professionals, therapists, and healers the art of psychedelic work at FIVE: 5-MeO Information & Vital Education.
I'm proud of it all — and I'm just getting started.
To the hundreds of Soul's Ive had the pleasure to hold through process, forever grateful for your trust
